During Springtime, a beautiful spectacle of nature can be observed in certain places around the world. One of these places is in Japan.

On the coast of Toyama district– the namesake for this new and unique Kaweco COLLECTION variant – the water is illuminated by a mysterious blue sheen during Spring. This rare and spectacular phenomenon is called bioluminescence and it is caused by light-emitting creatures. In Toyama, the bioluminescence is created by the gathering of a certain species of squid called the firefly squid. Those thousands upon thousands of points of light, performing a captivating spectacle upon the water surface, are mirrored in the high-quality plastic of this fountain pen.

Depending on the particular light irradiation, the pearly pigments in the Kaweco COLLECTION Toyama Teal sparkle more or less intensively. The overall design is completed by silver elements. In addition, we have added the special effect to the cardboard box, giving it the look of shimmering waves of water.

In 1911 something remarkable by the name of Kaweco Sport was created. The pocket fountain pen only measures 10.5 cm when closed; therefore, you can easily take it anywhere. With the cap mounted, it grows to an average size of 13 cm.

The Kaweco icon, the Sport model made from high-quality plastic, appears in winter 2021 in a colourful Cyan. The pure colour in combination with the silver accentuations gives this writing instrument an elegant character. On the one hand, the icy effect of Cyan perfectly harmonizes with the frosty season. On the other hand, Cyan is reminiscent of the gorgeous colouring of the Caribbean sea and therefore stimulates to dream.

You can choose between five nib sizes from extra fine (EF) to extra broad (BB). If you’re not sure which size you want or need, we recommend the nib size M. All nibs and the entire fountain pen are made in Germany. It contains a Royal Blue ink cartridge as standard.

Our eleven colourful inks, the Kaweco mini converter, and clips in gold, silver, bronze, and black are perfect accessories for this fountain pen. Especially the ink paradise blue fits perfectly with the colour of the fountain pen.
