Aviationtag X Etihad!

From Abu Dhabi to the World of Aviationtag – The next cooperation with Etihad Airways is ready for take-off

The Boeing 777-200LR “Worldliner” sporting registration VT-ALB and manufacturer serial number (MSN) 36301 was delivered to Air India on 24 August 2007 and christened “Arunachal Pradesh”.

After seven years with what was India’s flag carrier at the time, the plane changed hands to Etihad on 30 April 2014. Under its new registration A6-LRB, the Boeing 777-200LR took to the skies until March 2018 and was then parked for three years in San Bernardino, California, registered as N281UA.

In 2021, the Boeing was the very first plane of this model to be scrapped and recycled.

We are thrilled to present our exclusive collaboration with Etihad Airways and to be bringing the first pieces of this aircraft home to you.

Note: The color distribution on the three-color Aviationtags is not even, as the tags come from the Etihad lettering, which is framed by a thin black line. Some of the colors have a significantly higher proportion than others. The definition of a three-color Aviationtag from the A6-LRB is simply that there are three colors. Please note this, because it is not a reason for complaint.

Every tag is unique. Depending on the plane, tags may vary in terms of haptics, material thickness and colour. Small blemishes bear witness to the plane’s long history and are an authentic reminder of its glory days over the clouds. Small scratches, flaky paint and imperfections are totally normal and give our Aviationtags their unique charm – the charm of a vintage product crafted from upcycled materials. These quirks are not the result of the production process, they simply reflect the state of the aircraft material we use when it was extracted.

If you want to use it as a key-chain or bag-tag we strongly suggest to use the Aviationtag protection cover.

Boeing 777: The Boeing 777 or Triple Seven is a twin-engine wide-body long-haul airliner manufactured by Boeing accommodating between 300 and 550 passengers, depending on the configuration. It is the largest twin-engine airliner in the world and the first to use fly-by-wire technology. The Boeing 777 has been in production since 1994 and its first customer was United Airlines.

Depending on the model, the 777 ranges from 63.7 m to 76.7 m in length, with a wingspan of up to 71.8 m. A6-LRB is a Boeing 777-200LR (Long Range), also called “Worldliner”.

In November 2005, the second 777-200LR prototype left Hong Kong to fly across the Pacific, North America and the Atlantic to London. Test pilot Suzanna Darcy-Hennemann landed at Heathrow Airport at approximately 14:30 CET on 10 November 2005, 22 hours and 42 minutes after take-off, setting a new record of 21,601 km for the longest non-stop flight of an aircraft commercial, non-military aircraft.
